BES Assistant Principal - Mrs. Ellen Angus
Hello to the Bedford Elementary Community!
I am very proud to be able to serve as the Assistant Principal of Bedford Elementary School this year!
I was born and raised on the north side of Bedford and still live in that area with my family. I am a former student of Bedford Elementary and a graduate of Liberty High School! I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Early/Middle Education from Liberty University. Over the years I have taught grades 1-2 at Moneta Elementary and Grades 1,3, and 4 at Big Island Elementary as well as coordinating K-5 After-school programming for 4 years. After coordinating After-school Programs, I began to be interested in education outside of the classroom. I received my Masters in Educational Leadership and Administration from Lynchburg College.
I am so excited to begin this journey with the amazing staff at Bedford Elementary School. I am focused on student success and know that as we all work together to achieve our goals, I am going to learn so much. I look forward to meeting the families of this community and building relationships that will lead to students feeling confident in their abilities. These foundational years support their future and I am privileged to be able to play a part in their growth.
