Welcome to the BES Library!
Where our tigers love to read.
The goals of the BES Library are:
1. Encourage our students to become independent readers and successful learners.
2. Provide the school with books that reflect our student's interests and culture.
3. Support the state's curriculum and the school's goals.
4. Offer a welcoming place for everyone.
All BES Students visit the library once a week. They listen to stories and participate in other activities. At the end of the class, everyone has a chance to check out up to 3 books. All parents are notified of the books their child checks out unless they opt out of this opportunity.
New books are purchased several times a year. If you would like to see what is in the BES collection, click on the Destiny Library Catalog page. If you need more information about the quality or content of the books your child brings home, you can click on the list of Book Review Sites.
We hold Book Fairs twice a year. Scholastic Book Fair is held in November and Bedford Falls is the last week of school. All money raised benefits the library, school events, and the other resource classes (Art, PE, STEM, Music, and Guidance).
We also have Read Across America Week in March in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you'll go.”— Dr. Seuss, “I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!
